“Weekend” is the directorial debut of Cezary Pazura. The outdoor part of the photos, covering 40 days, was entirely made in Lodz and the surrounding area. The film shows different faces of the city – from thoroughly Lodz brick post-industrial buildings through recreational areas to the latest residential buildings, office and sports – recreational. The watchful eye of the viewer will certainly see the facades of characteristic tenement houses in Łódź, and also the neon of the “Łódź Fabryczna” station immortalized – perhaps for the last time in its present shape. The listed locations are, however, a small fragment of the Łódź buildings starring in the film. Castings for the film lasted several months. The cast was meticulously selected. In the most important roles, in addition to Małgorzata Socha, we will see: Paweł Małaszyński, Michał Lewandowski, Paweł Wilczak, Jan Frycz, Olaf Lubaszenko and Andrzej Andrzejewski. “Weekend” is produced by production Caesar 10 Sp.z o.o., founded by Cezary Pazura, co-produced by: Polsat TV and ATM Group, and the investor is Big Blue TV. The film is distributed by ITI Cinema.
