Description:
The film “In Shadow” is set in 1953 in Prague. It is difficult to maintain order, the economic situation is deteriorating from day to day. Captain Hakl, played by Ivan Trojan, is investigating a seemingly ordinary burglary into a jewellery store. He is assisted by a specialist from eastern Germany, the German actor Sebastian Koch. Over time, however, it turns out that the criminal case takes on a political dimension. The film is a Czech-Polish-Slovakian co-production made with the financial support of three Polish regional funds, including the Lodz Film Fund in 2011. Czech candidate for the Oscar in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
