“Our School” is a mosaic of images and statements, scenes from the entrance exams to the Acting, Directing and Cinematography Departments, as well as bachelor’s and master’s exams, workshops and exercises, from the two inaugurations of the academic year and the last rector’s election. The montage combined fragments of archival materials (recording of Wojciech J. Has’ statement, “There were 5 clubs”, Martin Scorsese’s visit to the School, funeral of Prof. Maria Kornatowska at the Old Cemetery, recordings from TVP Łódź, including the statement of Mariusz Grzegorzek and rector Henryk Klub shortly after the award at the festival in Oberhausen for “Robak” directed by Grzegorzek), student etudes (“Edward” directed by Emilia Śniegoska) and “School” exercises (Marta Trela, Kajetan Plis and David Linderer). To this, the directors added interviews with students and employees of the School.
Documentary co-financed by the Lodz Film Fund in 2011.
