Old Town and Marketplace in Piotrków Trybunalski

The Old Town has an urban arrangement coming from the Middle Ages. Within the premises there are about 140 tenement houses in the Classical style. In the centre of the marketplace there is a Municipal Town Hall – a two-storied building in the form of an elongated quadrilateral built of brick. It is assumed that it was erected in the 15th century. Paved alleys which lead from the marketplace look as if time stopped on them, they look the same as several ages ago. Therefore, this place is popular especially with historic film makers. It is situated about 50 km from Łódź.
