The housing estate comprises 21 three-floor blocks of brick which were raised in 1928-1931. The housing estate is a compact urban complex, densely built-up with blocks of flats which are separated by lawns, playing grounds. All small streets among the blocks of flats are paved with cobblestones (so-called cats’ heads). Montwiłł Mirecki housing estate is located in the western part of Łódź in the direct vicinity of Józef Piłsudski park and is entered into the register of historic buildings. It is situated between Srebrzyńska Street and Unia Lubelska Avenue.
