The Royal Springs in Żeromin
Twelve underground springs (natural water sources) that flow continuously throughout the year, never freezing during the winter. They are surrounded by picturesque landscapes that are part of the administrative district of Żeromin-Zdrój. According to local lore, Władysław Jagiełło himself watered his royal horses here during a stopover while hunting in the primeval forest that once covered this area. The names of the individual Royal Springs refer to Polish religious and patriotic traditions. In the immediate vicinity is a rock grotto dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The extraordinary, sacred atmosphere of this place is underscored by the fact that the arrangement of the springs resembles a rosary, as noted by the faithful praying at the grotto.
